How To Start A Blog For FREE: Blogger and Wordpress (The Basics)

So I was asked for help on creating a blog today by one of my Facebook friends.  The good news about creating a blog is that it is so easy to do these days and even better, you can start a blog for FREE.  The blog you are on right now (MY BLOG) is a Google Blogger Blog.  I love this blog, because I am able to dress it up with all of my affiliate program links and pictures and all that good stuff.  I've become comfortable with blogger, so, naturally I recommend it to others.  Here is a video on how to set up your own blogger blog.

Now... Wordpress is another good Free blogging platform.  I do have a wordpress blog, but I haven't taken the time to do much blogging on it.  Now that I'm thinking about it... I have to get over there to build that blog up.  I would definitely advise you to check it out so that you can choose weather or not you want to use blogger or wordpress.  I couldn't find a good video on youtube on how to create a wordpress account, because everyone was trying to market their product or webpage on their vidoes... Whatever happened to Free Help!  Anywho...  Here is the link straight from WordPress: http://learn.wordpress.com/get-started/  They provide videos to help you get started!

Good luck!

To your blogging success,

Relationship Advice: Stop Listening To Your Girlfriends!

Okay ladies!  We've all been guilty of it....  Talking about our relationship problems with our girlfriends!  Does it help?  Well, it can if you're talking to a woman that has a man and is in a healthy solid relationship...  She's most likely to give you some advice that will actually help.  And it'll probably sound a little something like this: "Well you know he may just be under a lot of pressure right now, give him some time to cool off and I'm sure he'll come around.  Just keep going on about your business and stay in prayer.  You guys are made for each other."  Or....  You can have a chat with your girlfriend that is STILL trying to get a man and is bitter about all of her failed relationships.  That conversation will probably go a little something like this: "Ugh uh girl!  No he didn't!  If I were you I would go off on him girl!  You need to let him know how you feel!  See, that's why I hate men!"  Okay, she might not say she hates men... but you know what I'm talking about....

Now, why do you think the first woman you talked to has such a healthy relationship and the second woman just can't seem to keep a man?  Woman number 1 seems to know something about men that woman number 2 has no clue about!  Men are not bad!  I just think that they can be completely mis-understood.  I'm sure alot of my male readers would agree.  :)

I was just reading an article written by Bob Grant, Licensed Professional Counselor, relationship coach for 16 years and author of "The Woman Men Adore...And Never Want To Leave".  The article is called "How to captivate a man, Make him fall in love with you-- And give you the world."  It is so good!  One part really stood out to me...

Excerpt: "Why Do Most Women Struggle in Their Relationships with Men?

There are many reasons why women have relationship challenges, but as I mentioned before, the main reason is that women simply don't understand men.  If a woman really understood men, she'd know how to effortlessly attract men like a magnet, make men powerless in her hands, have them treat her like a queen, and give her everything her heart desires.

The main obstacle women face in their effort to understand men is that they turn to all the wrong things:  They seek advice from their girlfriends, who are just as clueless as they are in figuring men out; and they read dime-store relationship advice from women's magazines.
If you're like most women, you probably love talking to your girlfriends about your relationship troubles, and -- yikes! -- asking them for relationship advice.  Unless your girlfriend happens to be a professional relationship advisor, who has counseled many couples towards successful relationships --and unless she herself has a successful relationship with a man (very important!) -- it's unwise to take relationship advice from your girlfriend (or your mother, sister, cousin or aunt, for that matter).

By all means, seek the listening ear of a girlfriend if you simply want to unburden -- and if talking to your girlfriend makes you feel better.  But always remember that talking to your girlfriends (as depicted accurately in the once-popular Sex and the City TV series), fosters deeper and better friendships with your girlfriends -- but does nothing to improve your relationships with men.

Now, don't get me wrong.  Some of your girlfriends might indeed have the wisdom to give you good advice  -- but that advice will almost always be based only on their own limited experience and observation.  Just because your girlfriend has had an experience similar to yours doesn't mean her advice applies to your situation."

Now, after 8 years of marriage, I'd have to agree with Bob on that one!  What do you think? Is it a good idea for a woman to take relationship advice from her girlfriends?  Feel free to leave me a comment!  :)

You can read Bob's entire article and buy his book,  "The Woman Men Adore...And Never Want To Leave"  HERE!

Time Somebody Told Me!

Many of us find it easier to say good things to other people than to say good things to ourselves. We should all be talking positively to ourselves. One of the most powerful ways to build up your self-esteem and self-confidence is the practice of talking to yourself in the mirror. It may sound crazy, but, it's time somebody told you! :) Xoxo

Time Somebody Told Me!

Time somebody told me
That I am lovely, good and real
That my beauty could make hearts stand still:

It's time somebody told me
That my love is total and so complete
That my mind is quick and full of wit
That my loving is just too good to quit:

Time somebody told me.
Time somebody told me
How much they want love and need me
How much my spirit helps set them free
How my eyes shine full of the white light
How good it feels to hold me tight:

Time somebody told me

So I had a talk with myself
just me - nobody else

Cause it was time somebody told me.

Build Your Self-Confidence: From: I Think I Can - To: I know I Can!

Being an entrepreneur has its advantages – you get to choose who you take on as clients, you get to set your own working hours, and you get to take on only the best projects that really float your boat. But it also means that sometimes, when you are deep in the despairs of doubt and you have that crisis of self-confidence, there is no one else around to help you remember how great you really are. What to do?
Here are a few ideas to help you build your self-efficacy.
Self-WHAT? Self-efficacy is the term that psychologists use to describe that belief that your actions make a difference – that you “can.” And self-efficacy can be increased. While this might be easier working with a coach or a trusted friend or colleague, there are some simple things you can do to help you get your confidence back.
The most powerful source of self-efficacy is your own previous experience. Let’s say that you are putting together a project proposal and you get all caught up in the details and the budgeting and suddenly this little voice inside your head screams at you, “I can’t possibly do this!” Feeling a little overwhelmed? Perhaps a little out of your league? Reflect on your past successes: when have you successfully written a proposal of this complexity before? What was in place then? What strengths did you bring to that success? How can you draw on those strengths now? And what else can you put into place that will help spur your success?
Let’s imagine that it’s your first proposal and you haven’t really written anything like this before. This can really undermine your confidence in your abilities to deliver. But I bet that you know others who have been successful. Through their vicarious experience, you may be able to enhance your own self-efficacy. Consider their successes. Perhaps they have been mentors and shared some tips and techniques with you. Consider how they write proposals. What structures do they use? When do they write them? How do they manage their time and energy? For this to really work, draw from people who are most like you, possibly other successful women entrepreneurs in the same line of business, for example. The more like you they are, the more energy and confidence you will draw from their successes and the more you will be inspired to your own success.
So what if you really can’t think of someone else to draw that inspiration from? Then it’s time to work the power of your own imagination. This is a technique that is often used in sports psychology: visioning. Just as basketball players envision themselves successfully shooting from the three-point line, so too can you envision yourself successfully completing your proposal. Imagine that it’s two weeks from now (or whatever your deadline is) and you have presented the proposal to your client. Imagine that they are applauding, buying, congratulating – whatever you envision as success.
Envision a successful outcome.
And if none of that works, then it may be time to call a friend, someone that you trust and have a valued relationship with, who can give you a pep talk. This person should be able to tell you how much they believe in you, how they know you can get this done, how you are amazingly wonderful at the work that you do and how the potential client will be so lucky to make use of your company. And someday, you will pay this back to your friend (or maybe pay it forward to someone else) but for now, just soak it up and regain that confident energy that you are missing.
Over time, you will get to know your weak spots; the times that you tend to suffer a crisis of confidence. You may even feel it in your body or emotional state before you’re really aware of what’s going on. As you become more sensitive to these leading indicators, you can stop your lack of confidence with one of the above tactics before it gets too big. Alternatively, taking a break to do something physical – a run, a massage, dancing, yoga – is also very effective at realigning your body with your intent to be successful. Deep breathing and meditation can help calm the emotional turmoil. Ultimately, you know you can. You just need to give yourself a little boost to get that nasty inner self-critic out of the way. And enhancing your self-efficacy is just what will do the trick.

Failing Is Not An Option!

What Would You Do If You Knew You Could Not Fail?

It's never too late to follow your passions.
Here's what I know for sure: you already possess everything within you to make your "what if" a reality. I am 100 percent certain that life is not meant to be a struggle and that if you have a dream in your heart, it wouldn't be there unless you were capable of achieving it. So the question isn't whether you can achieve your dreams, rather, it becomes, what are you willing to focus on in order to make them a reality?
Now, before you say, "I know where she's going with this; she's going to tell me I have to cut out everything that I enjoy doing and sell my first-born child, to make the necessary sacrifices to fulfill my dreams.”
No, no, no!
Okay, so now your thinking, "That's great, Karen; how do I do what I'd really like to and still make money to support myself and my family?"
I'm glad you asked.
Your Assignment, Should You Choose To Accept It:
1. The first key is to spend some alone-time with a journal or notepad and really get clear on what it is you want.
Make sure you're clear of distractions and not feeling pressured or rushed. Start with a little daydreaming and then start writing (or drawing). What is your idea of a perfect day in your life? Start with the morning and describe your perfect day in exquisite detail, right until you drop into bed at night. Be sure to record your emotions, sights, smells, sounds — are you alone or with certain people? When I did this exercise, I actually had to break it down into chunks because I was able to imagine and write in such detail, that it took some time to get through my perfect day.
2. Next, once you know what a day in your perfect life would look like, you need to put away your old paradigm of why you can't achieve it, and make a massive shift in your thinking.
Ask and answer yourself truthfully : "If others have achieved their dreams, why not me?" There is always a story behind the story, of people who have achieved their dream lifestyle. It almost always includes the same doubts, fears and challenges that you're worried about right now.
Were those people brighter, smarter or better-looking than you? Not likely. But what most successful people have in common is that they think creatively and then move quickly. They don't wait for the timing to be perfect, or their bank accounts to be large enough to weather the storms. They just jump right in, knowing that there will never be that perfect time. As Canadian singer Michael Bublรฉ says, "I'll succeed and I'll fail, but at least I'll never have to say I settled."
3. I believe that the third key to success in focusing on, and achieving, your dreams is to be in your own business (and if you're reading this article, you probably are).
Don't misunderstand me, there are plenty of people who are working in their dream job, loving what they do. But the huge reality today is that if you don't have 100 percent control over the decisions that affect your future, you are still vulnerable to the whim of those who do.
4. Lastly, it's very difficult for most people to make massive shifts in their life without the help and support of others.
Seek out a mastermind group, a coach or even a "do it yourself" program that has some structure and will help you work through the process of finding your bliss. Don't look to friends and family (many of whom are probably not happy with their lives and all too often are happy to tell you why you can't make the changes that you need to) to enjoy a blissful and abundant life.
Will it be easy? No, not always. But will it be worth it? Read over your wonderful, vibrant, blissful perfect day; you tell me!

Light His Fire Audio Program

I wouldn't be The "WifeyMommyPreneur", without first being a wife.  My marriage is very important to me and I am constantly making sure that I am nurturing the relationship between me and my husband.  I've been with him since I was 16 years old and we've been married for over 8 years.  He rocks my world!  :)

One of my husbands good friends gave me a workbook and some audio cd's by Dr. Ellen Kreidman, called "Light His Fire" as a wedding present and I still refer to those materials till this very day.  I also have my married girlfriends listening to the cd's and going through the workbook!  :)

Dr. Ellen Kreidman has been called, "America's Love Expert," the "Fairy Godmother of Relationships," and the "Experts Expert!" For over 20 years, she has shown hundreds of thousands of men and women how to put, fun, romance, excitement and communication into their relationships.

She is the founder of one of the best-selling audio programs of all times, Light His Fire for Women and Light Her Fire for men. You may have seen her on some major talk shows including Oprah, Montel, Geraldo, Sally, Maury, Barbara Walter's, and "The View." She's been featured in most major newspapers, magazines and radio shows around the nation. Over one million of her audio and video programs have been sold and counting! I'd like to share with you a transcript of an interview with Dr. Ellen on a radio show.

Taking care of our businesses and making sure that we are on top of everything that needs to get done on a day to day is important, but even more important is making sure that we have a healthy and happy marriage. Utilize the advice given by Dr. Ellen and make sure that you are continuing to "LIGHT HIS FIRE". :)

To your success in Love and Life!
Monique Bradford - The WifeyMommyPreneur

RADIO HOST: You talk about kissing for 10 seconds everyday. Why is that so important?

DR. ELLEN: When a couple stands at the altar and vows to love each other, "Till death do us part," they take for granted that they will be intimately connected forever. The kiss at the end of the ceremony symbolizes that connection.

The kiss is the core of a relationship. It is a barometer of how things are going. A couple can be having sex but not kissing. If they are not kissing passionately the relationship is in trouble. Most couples aren't even aware of when their relationship started changing. What started out as a passionate relationship, over time becomes a friendship. One day they wake up and realize, "We're roommates and no longer lovers! Well I'm here to tell you that you can keep your friend and get the lover back too.

When you give someone a peck on the cheek, that says, "I love you," but a 10 second kiss says, "I'm still in love with you!"

Of all the homework assignments I give, the 10 second kiss has the most immediate and dramatic effect. If you give it in the morning it sets the tone for the rest of the day and if you give it in the evening it sets the mood for the rest of the evening. It's not your brother, sister peck on the cheek which feels comfortable and platonic. It's a passionate kiss that makes you feel warm, close and connected.

I want everyone listening, to grab their mate tonight and give them a passionate 10 second kiss. When they say, "WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO YOU", you can tell them, I listened to this show and, "WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE ROOMMATES ANYMORE. FROM NOW ON WE ARE LOVERS AGAIN."

Before you kiss, you may feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, tense, annoyed and distant. After, you'll feel close, warm, and connected.

When we kiss, we are exchanging our breath with one another. When we exchange breathe, we are breathing in our mate's life force, his energy and he is breathing in ours. In this way we become one. That is why this is such an intimate act.

RADIO HOST: You say it only takes 5 seconds to make a person feel good. Can you explain?

DR. ELLEN: It takes only 5 seconds to change a frown into a smile and put a bounce in someone's step. 5 seconds!! We all want to matter. That's why everyone announces themselves when they walk through the door saying, "Hi, I'm home!" What we're really wanting is, "TELL ME WHY I MATTER, TELL ME WHY I AM IMPORTANT, TELL ME WHY I MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE, and don't just tell me once, tell me over and over again, everyday of my life.

When your head hits the pillow at night, ask yourself, "Have I made the people I love the most, feel good? Have I given them a compliment? If the answer is NO, you owe them two the next day.

RADIO HOST: What are the signs that a relationship is in trouble?

DR. ELLEN: There's No talking, No touching, No time together.

RADIO HOST: Why do couples have such a tough time communicating?

DR. ELLEN: Because, first of all, the average American couple spends only 21 minutes a week talking. That's averages out to 3 minutes a day. That includes:

Good Morning.

What's for dinner?

Any Mail?

How are the kids?

How was work?

What do you know of, that can survive on 3 minutes? Could you study for 3 minutes a day and hope to pass a course? Could you raise kids on 3 minutes a day? Could you have fallen in love if you spent 3 minutes a day together?

So how can we spend 3 minutes a day and think we'll have a meaningful relationship? WE CAN'T! You need to spend 30 minutes a day of uninterrupted time talking together. Share your day. If you don't, then the days become weeks, become months and then years and one day you are sitting across from a stranger saying, "I don't know you!

RADIO HOST: You believe that a couple should plan for sex. Doesn't that take away the spontaneity?

DR. ELLEN: First of all, I want you to put sex on the calendar. Yes, I want you to plan for it. We put doctor's appointments on the calendar, dentist's appointments; we even schedule car maintenance on the calendar. But heaven for bid, we schedule the person who means the most to us on the calendar. Let me ask you something. What do you think a honeymoon is if not an entire week of planned sex? And everyone has the time of their life going out and buying special lingerie, cologne, perfume and planning for sex.

My plan so you can remain lovers is:

1 night a week - date night

Every three months - an overnight stay at a hotel

Once a year - a one week vacation

Your marriage or relationship is a separate entity. You may not feel like doing these things but your marriage requires that you do.

Men need sexual fulfillment in order to respond to a woman emotionally, and women need emotional fulfillment in order to respond to a man sexually. When you plan for sex, both can get their needs fulfilled because you take your time - you talk; you kiss and spend quality time together.

RADIO HOST: Why is it important to pay attention to your mate's fantasy?

DR. ELLEN: Because we all have a dream. We all wish for something and we, in most cases, have the ability to make someone's dream come true. For someone it could be breakfast in bed, for someone else it could be a sensual shower together. We have to pay attention to what our mate dreams about. Many times the fantasy is very different. When I put the word, "sensuality" on the board most men think making love, having sex. Women think, holding hands, kissing, hugging, a candlelight dinner. I have every possible fantasy covered in the program and I believe I can take the most conservative person and when I get done with them, they'll be shocked at what they are capable of doing and they are going to knock the socks of their mate and their mate will say, "What's gotten into you?"

RADIO HOST: You claim that you can take a couple on the verge of divorce and bring back the feelings they had when they first fell in love. How do you do that?

DR. ELLEN: I show everyone how easy it is to bring back all the feelings they had when they first fell in love by doing what they did when they first fell in love. Couples lose sight of what they did in the beginning of the relationship which made them fall in love in the first place. What they did was kiss, hug, talk, listen, spend time with each other and make each other feel special. If they're not doing those things now how can they be in love? It is the ACTION that causes the ATTRACTION in the first place.

RADIO HOST: How important is laughter in a relationship?

DR. ELLEN: Extremely important because inside every man there's a little boy, and inside every woman there's a little girl waiting to come out and play. The man or woman who knows how to be playful is a joy in someone's life. When is the last time you laughed hysterically with your mate? - Had a pillow fight, a tickle contest, a game of tag, a snowball fight?

RADIO HOST: When you talk about being spontaneous and making love on the spur of the moment in public places, what do you say to those people who are shy and conservative?

DR. ELLEN: Practice makes perfect! We all learned delayed gratification when we were children.

Eat your dinner first and then you can have dessert.

Do your homework and then you can watch TV.

Clean your room and then you can go outside.

We have to retrain ourselves and every once in a while act on impulse, be spontaneous take a risk, do what you feel like doing, NOW! Those are the same actions when someone is having an affair. You can create the same feelings with your mate. Everyone, occasionally has an impulsive, lustful thought but they think, "Not now, not here." I'm saying that once in a while practice saying, "This is the perfect time and the perfect place" and experience the thrill with the possibility of getting caught where your heart starts to pound and the adrenaline starts to flow.

RADIO HOST: You were diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991 and then underwent a bone marrow transplant in 1995 when you had a recurrence. That had to have a major impact on your life. What has that experience taught you?

DR. ELLEN: When you are hooked up to life support and you have no hair, no eyelashes, no fingernails, you know the meaning of life. It is to love someone with all your heart and soul and to have them love you back. That's it. TO LOVE AND BE LOVED! I used to think that people who died in their sleep were lucky because they didn't know what hit them. I don't think that anymore. Now I wonder what would they do or say if they had known with absolute certainty that this was going to be their last month, week or day on earth. I wish I could give everyone the same sense of urgency that I feel. We don't know how much longer we'll have. Don't postpone happiness.

The time to make that I love you call is now!

The time to hug someone is now!

The time to kiss someone is now!

We've been given our lips for kissing, our arms for hugging and our bodies for making love. Don't you dare waste another minute.

RADIO HOST: Our time is up. I want to thank you for this wonderful interview. People can get more information about your Light His Fire and Light Her Fire programs by visiting your website, www.LightYourFire.com and they can also sign up for your free weekly advice column there.

DR. ELLEN: Thank you so much for having me on your show. I really enjoyed it.

Make Money Online: "Survey Savvy" Online Paid Surveys

So, I logged into my e-mail account today and I see 5 online survey invites from Survey Savvy.  Whoa!  They have been throwing me paid surveys left and right!  The 5 invites that I got today totaled out to $30.00.  Okay, so that's $30.00 in one day, made at home, by answering a few questions...

Unlike one of my previous posts on the "Make Cash Taking Surveys" program; you don't have to pay anything to become a member of Survey Savvy.  You simply fill out a quick form.  Once you are a member you answer questions to complete your member portrait.  This lets Survey Savvy learn more about you.  You tell them things like, your occupation, your interests, etc.  Once you do that Survey Savvy will match you with paying surveys that fit your member profile.  Then... you take the surveys and get paid!

I felt that I should share the wealth!  There are plenty of ways to earn extra cash online. This is one of the ways I do it!  They also have a referral program that earns you extra money.  Not bad, huh?
