So many people fantasize about working from home. We envision ourselves sitting at our desk, kitchen table or even laying in bed pecking away at our laptop; answering e-mails and phone calls that are pouring in from our customers and prospects. We also see ourselves having more time to spend with our family and friends. We can just taste the coffee that we'll be drinking at Starbucks with our girlfriends, feel the romance in the air as we go out on a lunch date with the hubby and hear the childrens laughter while we do arts and crafts or take them to the park in the afternoon. Oh the freedom and bliss! It's the most perfect life.
The reality of it is... working from home can be totally chaotic! Especially if you have small children at home, a loving husband that is also an entrepreneur and friends that call and say, "I'm on my way. Let's do lunch." You may just find yourself running around in circles like a chicken with your head cut off. Ideas for your business are flying around in your head, while your daughter is wanting something specific for lunch, your husband is asking you to check out the cut he just made on the video editing job he's working on, the kitchen sink is starting to look like you haven't washed dishes in a week and the dogs need to go out to pee. Well, I don't know how it is in your home, but I have spent many a days as a scatter brained work-at-home entrepreneur. Truth is, I was hardly getting any work done at all. Well, definitely not enough to get the results I was looking for. That is until I learned the power of getting organized.
If you are courageous enough to start your own business and blessed to be able to work from home full time, being organized it a MUST! And if you didn't know, now you know. Take it from me... Start getting organized now and you will accomplish your goals much faster and your dream will become a reality.
