For Married Women Only
I pray this prayer for my husband every day in my FLY time and encourage you to do the same and allow God work on the areas of concern or challenge in your marriage. It’s a bit lengthy, but isn’t your marriage worth it?

A Daily Prayer For Your Husband
Dear Father, I pray for my husband today, that You may surround him with favor as a shield. (Ps. 5:12)

May You open my husband’s ears to hear Your voice; may You open his eyes to see Your guidance: and may You open his heart to receive Your wisdom. May You Give him a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You, and may the eyes of his heart be enlightened so that he may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. (Eph. 1:17-19)

I bind the spirits of rebellion, stubbornness and doublemindedness far from my husband in the name of Jesus, that he may be free to walk in Your way, and that he may be stable in his ways. (James. 1:8)

I pray that You will give my husband fresh insight and inspiration to do his work and that You will renew his strength as the eagle’s. (Isa. 40:31)

May you surround my husband with angelic protection in every place he is. (Ps. 91:11) And may You bring victory to him in every place the sole of his foot treads. (Josh. 1:3)

May You prosper my husband in every task that he puts his hand to and may he Be fruitful in all he undertakes as he seeks the counsel of wise men and delights and meditates in Your word. (Ps. 1:2)

As my husband delights in You, may You give him the desires of his heart. (Ps. 37:3)

I bind the spirits of pride, spiritual blindness, self-sufficiency and self-righteousness far from my husband in the name of Jesus, in order that he will give you all the glory for what You are doing in his life. I bind the spirits of philosophy, deception and religious tradition far from my husband in the name of Jesus, so that he will not be deluded or pushed off the path that You have chosen for him. (Col. 2:8)

And so that he may attain all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures Of wisdom and knowledge. (Col. 2:2-3)

May wisdom enter my husband’s heart and knowledge be pleasant to his soul; may discretion guard him, and understanding watch over him to deliver him from the way of evil. (Prov. 2:10-12)

May my husband trust in You with all his heart, and not lean on his own understanding; may he acknowledge You in all his ways, and may You make his paths straight. (Prov. 3:5-6)

In the name of Jesus. I also bind the spirits of procrastination, laziness, complacency and foolishness far from my husband, so that he will not be delayed or diverted from moving ahead with you in the works that You have already created for him to accomplish.
(Eph. 2:10)

May my husband not be carnally minded, which is death, but may he be spiritually minded, which is life and peace. (Rom. 8:6)

May he be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that he may walk in a manner worthy of You, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience: joyously giving thanks to You, who have qualified us to share in the inheritance of eth saints in light. (Col. 1:9-12)

May You give my husband a deep thirst for Your word and may You give him a strong hunger to move in the power of the Holy Spirit. Father, I know that You will lead him into all truth by your Spirit. (John 16:13)

I thank You and praise You and have confidence that since You have begun a good work in my husband, You will complete it. (Phil. 1:6)

You will cause my husband to excel in all that he puts his hand to, as I trust You to guide him, since it is not by might, nor by power, but by Your Spirit. (Zech. 4:6)

Sharpen my husband’s awareness of spiritual things, so that he will be effective in his role as the spiritual head of our household. (Eph. 5:23)

And help me to submit to his leadership in a way that is pleasing to You. (Col. 3:18)

May our love abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, and may we be filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Phil. 1:9-11)

May the words of his mouth and the meditations of his heart acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer. (Ps. 19:14)

May my husband be slow to anger, and not quick temped. (Prov. 14:29) And may he have a soothing tongue. (Prov. 15:4)

May you give my husband his heart’s desire, and not withhold the request of his lips. (Ps. 21:2)

May You give my husband to know Your ways, O Lord, may You teach him your paths, and may You lead him in Your truth. (Ps. 25:4-5)

May You reveal Your secrets to my husband, and may You make him to know Your covenant. (Ps. 25:14)

May You hide my husband in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man, and may You keep him secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues. (Ps. 31:20)

When he is tempted, I thank You that You will always provide the way of escape, that he may be able to endure it. (1 Cor. 10:13)

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Ps. 90:17 And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon my husband and do confirm for him the work of his hands, yes, confirm the work of his hands!

Just saying NO to "Niche Blogging"

I have officially decided to go against the grain and embrace "no niche" blogging.  Call me a rebel and I'll tell you that I am free from being boxed in and happily accept the title!  :)

I have way too many interests and talents to choose one thing.  And yes, I could make a blog for each one of my "interests", but I am a true blogger and a passionate person and I just can't stretch myself out that far.

Feeling like I was all alone in my rebellion against the "niche", I decided to google, "you don't need a niche" and I ran across this awesome blog post by Nicholas Scalice.  The title of his blog post was just what I googled, "You Don't Need A Niche".  I am so glad I'm not alone in the "No Niche" movement!

Nicholas shared some great information about some of our historical figures that were not confined to a niche.  Here's an excerpt from his blog post:

"While it is true that American culture is driven heavily on taking pride in work and even going so far as to define oneself by work, tBenjamin Franklinhere seems to be something lacking if all we were meant to do with our lives was focus on just one major task. Maybe you love accounting or maybe you’re a great sculptor or maybe you can write like a champ, but does this mean that the only value you bring to the professional world is reliant upon your proficiency in this area?
Looking back in history, we can cite numerous examples of individuals with a multitude of interests. We call these people “polymaths” which simply means “a person whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas.” To name a few examples:
  • Aristotle took interest in physics, metaphysics, poetry, theater, music, logic, rhetoric, politics, government, ethics, biology and zoology.
  • Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, engineer, astronomer, anatomist, biologist, geologist, physicist, architect, philosopher and humanist.
  • Benjamin Franklin was known as an author, political theorist, politician, printer, scientist, inventor, civic activist and diplomat.
  • Thomas Jefferson was not only a founding father and president of the United States, but also a mathematician, surveyor, architect, paleontologist, prosodist (what the heck is that?), lawyer, philosopher, farmer, fiddler and inventor.
  • Adam Smith (author of The Wealth of Nations, one of the first books on economic theory) in addition to being a economist, was also a noted jurist, psychologist, historian, theologian and literary critic.
  • Aldous Huxley (author of Brave New World) was a novelist, poet, travel writer, philosopher, occultist, botanist, literary critic, intellectual historian and a screenwriter for television and film."
So I guess I am a "polymath" and loving it!  :)  I can't tell you how free I feel right now.

My question to bloggers especially those that consider themselves to be niche bloggers is, "Do you ever fell boxed in when deciding what to blog about?  And do you ever want to write about something that is totally different than your chosen niche?"

Please leave me a comment.  I would love to know your thoughts.

As for me I will be writing "niche freely" from now on!  :)

Always wishing you success in Love and Life  ....and Many, Many Blessings~

New Technology: Mobile Marketing Is Critical To Your Success In Business!

The people have texted: Text messaging is the most widely used data application on the planet, with 2.4 billion active users. Nearly three-quarters of all mobile phone users send and receive text messages on their phones. In fact, the typical U.S. mobile subscriber sends or receives 357 text messages per month, compared to placing or receiving 204 monthly phone calls (Nielsen Media); which makes opportunities for text messaging marketing all the more ripe.

Consider this: In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 23, 2008, 2.9
million people received a 26-word text that revealed Barack Obama’s choice for a vice presidential running mate. They were the first to know the news. It was just part of a sweeping text messaging effort that helped propel Obama to the White House.

Lucky for you my company specializes in helping small and medium sized businesses increase their overall level of income and success by leveraging the power of SMS Text Marketing and Social Media!

If you could go back in time, would you shoot Adolf Hitler before he killed six million Jews?

I know you're probably wondering why I would do a blog post about this.  Well read on...  :)

Today was definitely one of those days.  I got off to a late start.  But at least I got through all of my daughters lessons and got some work done!  :)

I was supposed to be up early and out to my Tuesday Praisercise class for my workout, but it didn't work out that way, considering I was up until 4:00 AM watching some very interesting videos with my husband.

He's usually up late, considering he's a recording artist.  He comes alive in the night time!  lol  I was off of my computer by 2:00 AM and I just knew that I was gonna get enough rest to make my class, but when I walked into his studio and saw what he was watching I just had to watch along with him.

I couldn't find the videos that we watched where 2 Athiest and 2 Christians had a full on debate about whether or not there is a God, but this is one of the videos that we watched....

"180" Documentary, produced by Living Waters, founded by Ray Comfort in 1974- In the video, Ray asked people if they would shoot Adolf Hitler if they had the chance.  Is Ray advocating vigilantism?

"In “180” people were asked that if they were back in time, would they shoot Adolf Hitler before he killed six million Jews? Many said they would. But would they also shoot the other Nazi leaders, if they had foreknowledge of what they were about to do? How about Jeffery Dahmer? Would they take him out if they knew that he was going to murder 16 young men? How many murders does someone have to commit to qualify for their vigilantism? In other words, who is calling the shots? I'm not a pacifist, but it's my conviction that we should never take the law into our own hands, and kill anyone." ~ Ray Comfort

Was that video deep or what!?  I'd love to know what your thoughts are on the subject matter.  Leave me a comment with your thoughts.

Once I find the other videos that we watched with the Athiest vs. Christian debate I will share it here on the blog.  I have to ask the hubby what the heck he was watching.  lol

Housewives' Song by Maron with Lyrics

So I have a new favorite song!  The lyrics are beautiful and I've learned that listening to this song in the morning is a great way to start the day!

Check it out....

Much blessings to you and yours!

Lyrics

Don’t look for your beauty in the eyes of your children
Don’t look for your beauty in the eyes of your man
Don’t look for your beauty in the eyes of the world
Your beauty, you’ll find it in the Lord

Don’t look for your worth in your friendships
Don’t look for your worth in your pay
Don’t look for your worth in the things you do each day
Your worth now, you’ll find it in the Lord

‘Cause it’s like a mirror looking in
When you find the strength to stand
It’s not you, it’s the Father inside
And when the storm clouds pass on through
And they’re only raining on you
Run for cover, in the Father you can hide
Don’t look for your strength in your coffee
Don’t look for your strength in your routine
Don’t look for your strength in your diet and exercise
Your strength, you’ll find it in the Lord
Don’t look for your rest in the glow of the television
Don’t look for your rest on the telephone
Don’t look for your rest in the shopping mall, sister
Your rest, you’ll find it in the Lord
‘Cause it’s like a mirror looking in
When you find the strength to stand
It’s not you, it’s the Father inside
And when the storm clouds pass on through
And they’re only raining on you
Run for cover, in the Father you can hide
Charm is deceiving and beauty is passing
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised
He said, “Come unto me all you weak and heavy laden
And I will give you rest.”
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength
They shall rise with wings as the eagle
They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint
Teach me Lord, teach me Lord to wait
“My strength is made perfect in your weakness.”
He said, “My strength is made perfect in your weakness.”
Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and now He shall strengthen your heart
Just wait on the Lord….

Homeschool Days: Cool Youtube Videos for 1st Graders

(Yes.  This is just an average day of homeschooling for Lyrical.  She is so "too cool for school".  lol)

Learning should be fun.  And what could be more fun than learning to a melody.  Below are just a few videos that my daughter enjoys watching.  I also enjoy them as they help her learn some of the core 1st grade material!  :)

Counting by 2's, 5's and 10's - Your child should know how to do this by the end of 1st grade.

Months Of The Year - Your child should know the months of the year by the end of 1st grade.

Counting to 100 - Your child should know how to count to 100 with no problem by the end of 1st grade.

Days of the week:  Your child should know the days of the week by the end of 1st grade.  (They should actually know this by the end of pre-school) but we still like to sing this one.  :)

Pretty cool huh?  Hooray for youtube!!  I'll be sharing a lot more cool youtube videos as I run across them.  :)

Always wishing you success in Love and Life,

Gmail voice and video chat

Maybe I'm late, or maybe I'm one of the people that just found out about this awesome feature!

I signed up for a Google Voice account today. Do I love it so far? Absolutely!

Not only am I able to call anywhere in the U.S. from my google account at NO charge, but I can also video chat. My favorite feature is the voicemail number. You pick your own number and calls are forwarded to 1 or more of the phones you add to the account and if you don't answer, it is sent to your free google voicemail. Voicemail messages from callers are typed out and sent to your g-mail address. What a great way to keep records of your messages!

Here are some things you can do to get started with Google Voice:
  1. Read transcriptions of voicemails. Watch a video »
  2. Customize which phones ring. Watch a video »
  3. Personalize greetings for different callers. Watch a video »
  4. Make cheap international calls. Watch a video »
  5. Forward SMS to email. Watch a video »
  6. Share voicemails with friends. Watch a video »
  7. Block unwanted callers. Watch a video »
  8. Screen callers before answering. Watch a video »
  9. Access the mobile app on your phone. Watch a video »
  10. Conference call with co-workers. Watch a video »
I used the service for a total of 4 times today and I look forward to wearing this service out!
